    On my older #Android devices, disabling Google Play Services was impossible. Or maybe I just remember it wrong. On the new phone, I was able to disable it. Of course, now any time something Google wrote launches, it notifies me that $APP_OR_SERVICE_NAME cannot function unless Google Play Services is enabled.
    
    Funny that. Everything works fine. (And I'm accumulating a list of things that are not allowed to notify me.)

    Last year, when I was working in Sacramento, one of the businesses down the street had a landscaping crew that came a couple of mornings per week. They started before 05:00, and were still going when I left for work about 90 minutes later.
    
    Mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers. They were pretty noisy.
