"Pi for dessert" Mmmmmmm. Pi. Letâ**s end this day on a note of wonder. Itâ**s Pi Day! (March 14, or 3-14). Pi is an irrational numberâ*¦ it cannot be written as the ratio of two integers. Itâ**s a number that represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its own diameter. It shows up everywhere when you try â*¦ Continue reading "Pi for dessert" http://s… -

"On your left" Today was a good running day. It was a really good running day. I donâ**t know what it was, but I havenâ**t felt this good running in a long time. One of my favorite on-screen gags occurs in the Marvel movie, â**Captain America: The Winter Soldier.â** At the opening of the film, super-soldier Steve Rogers is â*¦ Continue reading "On your left" http://… -

My institution announced today that classes will go fully online after Spring Break until April 5. I completed the transition to an all-digital classroom today, having anticipated this would happen. If my colleagues in @SMUPhysics need help in this, I stand ready to assist! -

"Digital Teaching" COVID-19 is stressing systems in interesting ways. One thing we are seeing with increasing frequency in the U.S. is schools switching to â**online teachingâ** for the next several weeks (perhaps even for the rest of the terms this academic year). Below, I share some of my perspectives on strategies for â**online teachingâ** â** or, more â*¦ Conti… -
