#AutoJoin should be a configurable setting for the Group Admin. In some cases, I may not want people to accidentally join the group merely by mentioning it. As a user I don't necessarily want to receive messages from groups I've accidentally mentioned. #AutoJoin may increase the reach of a spam notice. #SNot -

I'm migrating http://sn.jonkman.ca/ to a new instance, likely httpS://gs.jonkman.ca/ in a month or two, and recreating the groups on the new instance, then decommissioning the old one. I can direct people to join the https://gnusocial.de/group/526/id group instead of recreating the current !OSM group. -

I've run the same demo but with an external router, and it worked fine. So I think the problem was a combination of running #FreeSWITCH in a VM and using Hotspot Mode -

This was a self-contained demo, with no Internet access. Four !VoIP clients (mobile phones) don't eat all the bandwidth in a production system, so I don't think it was a bandwidth issue, more likely something with the Hotspot Mode in Network Manager -

I did a VoIP demonstration using my laptop as a #WiFi hotspot with !FreeSWITCH in a VM, maybe 4 connections, but it was too slow to be useful. 3 GHz i5, 8 GB RAM -
