I follow @evgenymorozov, but I often don't get what he's talking about. His #twitter/ish language is alien to my !gnusocial/ist stream.

Oh, great, now that I lost my #Twitter account, #Snowden has just created one: https://twitter.com/Snowden
Please, !gnusocial tell him why he should come here or to !diaspora (or, at least, to write about these projects and about !xmpp ).

You may want to check about #I2P with the @TorontoCrypto people on !Twitter, they're hosting a conference next weekend: https://geti2p.net/en/blog/post/2015/07/16/I2PCon

@mmn Detta är alltså #svpol på #Twitter i ett (algoritmiskt) nötskal:
"Hjälpa tiggare, men zigenarnas dagliga brott mot åldringar utreds NOLL. Patetiska PK-oduglingar i regeringen väl?"
-

Fuck you, #Twitter. Do I have to get a "proper" TLS certificate to be able to connect an application to your services? Can't I just fill in my fingerprint somewhere instead?!

Liebe !gnusocial Gemeinde, #Twitter will angeblich die #140 Zeichen-Beschränkung aufheben... yfyi ;)

How !GNUsocial is different from !Twitter: m♻ @vinzv: nobody cares for follower counts. Seriously.
-
@daw #GOChro is the !Twitter hash tag for the #GOtrain Chronicles, a sort of collaborative diary of people's commuting experiences

@kwcrypto @TorontoCrypto The irony of hosting a !privacy conference on !Facebook and !Twitter seems to be lost on @OpenMedia_ca

#UX breaks as often on bleeding-edge #SoMe like #GNUsocial as on #Twitter, bc #Twitter breaks things DELIBERATELY. It's an ad platform.
-
That is, check with @n2admin@n2.federati.net to see if https://n2.federati.net is running the #Twitterbridge plugin. If it is, on the !GNUsocial Settings page there will be a Twitter item where you can set the connection between your !GS and your !Twitter account.
-
Sending from !GNUsocial to !Twitter requires that your !GS instance is running the #Twitterbridge plugin. Check with @neadmin. The Twitterbridge is not well supported, since Twitter keeps changing its API. Inbound Twitterbridge messages tend to create resource issues on GS (several well-connected Twitter users can flood the GS database with Twitter messages), and Twitter doesn't pl…

My suggestion to a transparent federation to #twitter and the like. This suggestion would allow users on !gnusocial to communicate with users on twitter without having an account on that network and also get replies from twitter users. It will also draw the external network users' attention to !gnusocial. The solution is _a bot_ that will play the role of an intermediary jumping th…

My suggestion on how to transparently federate to #twitter and similar without the need for users to have a twitter account. My suggestion would also draw the federated to users' attention to !gnusocial. The idea is simple: _a bot_. This bot will simply repeat anything said to him. It gets mentioned in !gs, then it posts it again on twitter. He is replied to on twitter, he post it …

I tried using it several times. But I am not satisfied with it. When selected, the "classic" interface is shown only to the owner of the account. I want my visitors to see the Vanilla interface :-) See the screenshot, when a newcomer lands on my profile page they don't get to see any notice at all, they cannot scroll down either, because the sign-in box is automatically selected. …

Okay, it is clear that !gnusocial #atom feed has some issues at least on !quitterno and #gnusocialno . #ifttt fails to fetch notices when I add my #atom feed. But it works fine with #RSS . I'm trying to pump my updates to #Twitter from here
-
When #FeedPoller works, it will add fallback push support which means SubMirror should start working for any feed.
I'll probably remove the #Twitter stuff though, if I hadn't already. Since they have removed everything related to standardized feed formats and non-API-enforced automated information retrieval.

@lnxw48 Similar trick: I copy'n'paste from !Twitter frequently; a URL will paste full-length, even when Twitter displays it truncated. Of course, "copy link" pastes as the t\.co short URL; you've got to copy just the text.
