Hey !GNUsocial, I'm having a weird issue with my instance, and I was hoping somebody has seen it before: subscribed groups only federate content that is local to the group's native server; remote content never comes over. This doesn't appear to be intended behavior. I'm not currently where I have my keys stored so I can check logs; just hoping to get a quick "you messed up your config, and here's how" type response.

Just remove "Add to Firefox as feedreader" from Settings menu, and promote IceCat or other free software browsers that take care of privacy.

I like the website postactiv.com on @maiyannah's !GNUsocial fork

@tobias@f.diekershoff.de discovered that my .well-known/xrd stuff is broken. We have no idea how to configure it for !gnusocial . Can someone please set me straight? Thanks!

@capnmidnight there are !GNUsocial which is connected to #Mastadon via !Ostatus protocol, Friendica (also speaks Ostatus), Diaspora & others

Dear !gnusocial , has someone yet written an integration for https://activations.cdn.mozilla.net/?

Is there a way to empty a timeline in #AndStatus? On devices that are used infrequently, the latest stuff is days old and syncing from then to today takes forever! !gnusocial
-
@sazius Ok, because it feels like quite a weak !gnusocial presence / update stream from this years !fscons :) #fscons

@takeshitakenji I have never experienced an improvement with #Memcache in !GNUSocial. The feeds are updated too often to make use of any caching that the database doesn't already do.
-
@takeshitakenji I hope you write up what you did and post it so the rest of us can follow your recipe for better !GNUsocial performance!

I have items in my queue with 'created' and 'claimed' dates going back to 2013 (total items in queue = 90), should I just delete them? !GNUsocial

In theory, would it be possible to make a modified !gnusocial with an emphasis on groups, with a reddit-like interface? Essentially the groups would operate as subreddits, and threaded conversations as comment threads.
It's mostly a shower thought, and I'm not familiar enough with the protocol to know how you'd do things like up/downvotes, but the idea of a federated reddit clone (with GS interop) seems interesting.

That feel when your !gnusocial queue never gets below 800 items

Good morning everyone! Waking up in a dreamy & snowy landscape today! !gnusocial
