I've noticed you've created a #matrix channel for #gnusocial. Great idea. Was just on the way doing the same and saw you did already. :-)
To make other supportes of gnusocial aware of new stuff here some groups you can use to right it in. : !gnusocial !fediverse
Also there's a not very active irc on freenode. I've left a notice there. -

Trying to subscribe to users at social.tchncs.de I get the following error(s) and they don't show up in timeline:

@maloki It's interesting that a couple of years ago we discussed a generic term for our networks (including #GNUSocial and #PumpIo), and that time I came to conclusion that "Social network" is far better term than "Microblogging".
