I don't know where I found this link, but it's important news: #Apple's main #CUPS repository (on #GitHub) has very few commits since the main dev left late last year. There's a new CUPS fork at OpenPrinting.org

@teslasmoustache No, Apple just bought #CUPS because they needed a printing subsystem. The main developer still works there afaik, but it was initially not an Apple project and I can't say I have seen them put much effort into developing it further...
