At least two computers in my work office were exposed to the flood waters or physical damage when ceilings collapsed. Today I am checking hard drives and pulling data to a cloud archive, in case the data is good by the computers are rendered unbootable by water damage.

One casualty of the ceiling that came crashing down on my desk during the Fondren Science flood: all of my "Women of NASA" Legos were destroyed. I know these are personal items, but I kept them in my office for a reason and now they are gone. This really bothers me. https://twitter.com/drsekula/status/1363287724430667777/photo/1 https://chirp.cooleysekula.net/attachment/70859

Being cooped up inside has a lot of us "binging" movies and music loaded with #DRM. Try these great options that respect your freedom instead -- and tell your friends that you don't need to compromise when it comes to entertainment! https://u.fsf.org/316

So glad I didn't try to drive to SMU in the last couple of days to inspect the flood damage. Would have put my own life at risk in just the first mile of the drive. Had to move our car today to the front of the house. That drive alone was slippy slidy on ice and snow.
