My # fediversary isn’t until January, but it was certainly this time last year when I realized that it was important to spin up a # Mastodon instance for close friends and family and create a new home in this part of the # fediverse . I wouldn’t get a chance to do that server work until the new year (2023), but I had a failed attempt at a Mastodon server install lying around that I learned from. This time, I succeeded! (I already had Pump.io, GNU Social, Diaspora running, so the pressure was low)
