@stigatle I know you're openly anti-religious in general and that you are not specifically biased towards islamists. .)
But if we're going to shame the religion everytime something happens we:
1. have to find out which religion (and preferrably which sect within that belief system and then which chapter of that sect... or we're just generalising). This takes focus away from the actual issues.
2. have to start calling all American attacks for "christian extremism".
Point no. 2 I think makes it easy to see that labeling something as caused by the belief in a certain fictional story figure is a just an over-simplification.
I think very few would say that the US foreign politics is "because of christianity" (we know there are religiously unrelated issues at hand). But at the same time many would say other/specific religions are a major cause for problems in other parts of the world. Not very consistent if you ask me!
