@mikegerwitz I'm pretty sure nmap can determine your kernel type from network fingerprinting and by default your MAC address too, when on a local network.
Also the "IP address in the network packet header received" is likely to be exfiltrated on any external network communication. I bet your package manager has some automated update check enabled.

So your operating system is somewhat secure and operating with slight Microsoft deficiencies.
