@pettter It seems like this @sarahmei@twitter.com takes too harshly on the acts of Stallman and believes he has some sort of actual ownership of the definition of free software, which I only see as a clearer wording of "software that follows the four freedoms". Nowhere in the four freedoms do I see the requirement to obey, respect or even listen to Stallman and to an even lesser extent do they say anything about being demeaning to women.

I have personally on several occasions explicitly said that while Stallman's got lots of opinions I resonate with, he's also a misogynist and douche and that he's demeaning to women. Just as with any situation about any subject, having someone raised far up above everyone else (recent examples: Snowden, Applebaum, whatever) just means it'll come crashing down. Idolisation sucks.
