Haha, I'm watching #StarTrek TOS and in an episode in the third season, Kirk gets "accelerated" (the world around him seems to slow down extremely much).

He cannot communicate with the others by voice because it becomes too high-pitched and sounds like an insect.

He records an audio stream on a machine instead, in order to make them play it back.

For some reason he doesn't think of the possibility to write something down in plain text.

This reminds me of people at a bar/pub that yell extremely loud into their telephones instead of texting (or using any means of communication where text would've been more appropriate).
