@theru Basically it was that everytime some new hardware/gadget came out, the first post was "but does it run Linux?" as a way to point out that who cares about the specs if you can't do anything with it!

Most common gag is probably related to toasters in the future that will be running Linux etc, which is somewhat related. Also related is the "year of the Linux desktop" which was announced every year in the form of some article in a tech magazine.
