Though I do think there should be a proper label for (actually) ecological stuff, where crops that are too homogenously grown are excluded and crops that have been made "too competitive".

Those are the only two risks I perceive with GMO crops. Making a seed that will conquer other vegetation (or even its predecessors) if it spreads into the wild - or stuff like bananas (as we know them) that are likely to die in enormous numbers from single threats/diseases.
