@maiyannah I don't "get" any of the usual arguments whatsoever regarding # stuff. Why don't the people who oppose the restrictive gender-based roles just demand the release of source code under a libre license? Then we can all help to fix the bugs once and for all.

But in general feminists I encounter (just like the rest of the population, of course) tend to support proprietary software, restrictive measures against software freedom and encourage walled gardens. Stuff like the Apple market model, Facebook/Twitter etc. are seen as obvious platforms for commerce despite in the end directly opposing their own causes. One would think that people engaged in a liberal gender definition would be otherwise enlightened in the computerised age.

No support goes out from me to anyone driving a campaign for "social justice" if they don't at the same time embed source code liberation (or equivalent methodologies) into their political discourse.
