@andyc Re: #DrWho, Colin Baker always used to say the part could be played by anybody with an Equity card, which explains why his performance was so thoroughly misjudged. Jodie Whittaker's great; a bit too self-consciously quirky, but they all are at the start. New showrunner Chibnall was not quite as self-assured as I expected from a fan of my vintage and a generally well-regarded writer who's handled some thankless gigs before (eg. Torchwood). Keen/apprehensive to see how they settle in next year.
