I can and have been wrong about a great many things in my life. Every single one of us is wrong about a great many things, on a daily basis even. As too we are also correct about a great many things on a similar scale. We are always learning and adapting to the knowledge we encounter, if we are healthy. If we are not able to challenge our own closely-held beliefs, if they are so sacrosanct to us that we are not able to look upon ourselves skeptically and critically, then we have caught ourselves in the trap of a reasurring falsehood. Who is more humble, the person who can admit that their understanding of the world is an evolving and changing thing, and they may be wrong about something? Or the person who offers complete certainty, never having held themselves to account?
