Got a bit caught up in pA stuff when I'm back, so here's the Rogue One post.

General synopsis: Kind of brainless Hollywood action flick, but it's on the better end of that.  The first act is weak as hell, with a schiznophrenic going from scene to scene with maybe 12 such scenes with less than a fistful of minutes each.  It was in dire need of editing down story elements which were unneccesary.  The second act is ho-hum, not particularly bad nor particularly great and mostly gets drowned in a depiction of management squabbles on both the Rebel Alliance and Empire's side to create artificial dilemna for the hero and antagonist both since they don't directly threaten each other overtly.  The third act is all action, and it's a compelling enough battle scene.

SW fan quibble: there sure weren't a lot of Bothans down there.

In general I would say its a decent bordering on good movie that doesn't respect its source material.  But it's probably better than TFA.
