@verius Not very since we already have mechanisms for getting remote notices, which we could leverage, but we'd have to create a means to get specific notices outside of a hubsub.  This is probably doable if we use the API though, but then we also run into the same compatability problems.

That said, it's probably better postActiv deal with these sorts of things than the clients, and devising a means to pull whole conversations (which is similar) is something I wanted to do anyways, so I'd be ameneable to doing that when my current (now long-going) rendering project is done, if no one beat me to it.
