@sklaing @chiofjulia Lamentable is the natural tendancy of both people in general and the media to pick out some really bad actors as representatives of different communities - the trans community included.  It endears no one to people if all they hear are stories of the bad stuff, the "fear uncertainty and doubt" approach, and the media does have a lot of culpability in fostering some rather negative impressions many have of transpeople.
