@moonoffsite @rw It's really weird to me to see the stigma against them, but its also weird for me to see the double standards stuff too.  The US has really been trying to force women soldiers through in an "unnatural" fashion (for lack of a better word) and it doesn't really work.  Meanwhile the CAF has allowed female soldiers for ages as long as they meet EXPRES or now FORCE (the universal fitness standard) and that's been fine - we have all kinds of female servicewomen (quite a few of whom are decorated).  It's weird and really shows how much of the liberal tokenism and "me too" mentality is a thing in the states.
