@sim Opinions can be a difficult thing here, because ultimately what matters is preventing disruption to the site, and opinions can indeed be disruptive.  My rule of thumb here, so to speak, is how those opinions are being discussed.  Someone that goes after someone and is unpleasant ("delete your account!" is basically the lefts "lol kill yourself") and isn't adding anything of value to the discussion, is much more likely for me to sanction them (and indeed, I have banned a handful of Mastodon users whom have been unpleasant towards others in this way), whereas someone being calm and considerate is probably not going to be sanctioned.

(I may, as a person, exercise an individual right to mute or block you if I am that bothered personally by your views, but I'm not going to sanction someone who is behaving themselves in presenting such a viewpoint)
