@purplehippo @verius I probably could be a lot more patient with some of them, but I don't feel particularly inclined to waste my limited productive time on people whom frankly aren't likely to appreciate it, and are just as likely to turn around and repay any such time spent or compassion with vindictiveness.  I know their type - they do what gets them social credit, whatever the cost.  Most of them end up in really quite pitiable positions as a result, and never quite realize they got there through their own choices.

I'm reminded of a quote from The Sandman:
"Her kind walk amidst the flotsam of lives they have sacrificed, for their own purposes, till friendless and alone they needs must make the final sacrifice."
