@purplehippo @sim The irony of the thin-skinned allegation is they are the ones that feel the compulsive need to continually interject in the conversations of others to be offended, when a more self-confident person would just leave well enough alone, because you realize you're not going to affect any change.

This is a lot of the reason that I don't feel a need to engage the long chain discussion happening in mastodon.social disparaging me (and this instance) right now - I'm certainly not going to change their opinions, and there's no need to posture for my respective ingroup because I have confidence you know my position without such preening, and if you do not, you are empowered to simply ask.  Therefore, there is no functional need to do so.
