Most of the archetypes are fine, but they can't carry a whole group.  Most Freeform characters actually end up worse than the archetypes because people don't know how to properly build a class, at best, they're copies of the popular existing builds (Rayne's original build I put on the forums before I was banned is still copied to this day).  But there's much more potential to break stuff with Freeform.

Faust is the Hexslinger which actually is a very powerful DPS archetype but good luck carrying as DPS without a way to heal or tank.
