@hybotics @strypey Ive only been able to live relatively "well" by living in the middle of nowhere and being willing to lend a hand to the harvest.  It's out of yesteryear (and so is the internet), but I wouldn't trade the sense of community for the world.

When I was on food stamps, the stuff the food bank gave me was a weeks worth of food and I was supposed to make it last three months.  Ridiculous (but I cant blame the food bank too much, its in a wealthy part of town and they were tight fisted with their money it seems, the bank itself has always been scarce on food)
