@gameragodzilla System Shock 2 meanwhile was basically up to your discretion. There isn't a skill path that represents an invalid path if you know what your doing. Most people who have problems are the ones that try to make their character good at everything, which isn't going to happen unless you're willing to grind health chambers that haven't been converted from the cyborg conversion. But you can get by with purely melee fighjing, or shooting it out with guns, or hacking, or psi stuff. They're all perfectly valid.
One thing I loved that System Shock 1 did that I wish 2 and just more games in general did was the modular skill system. It let you change things like the "Story" and "Combat" difficulty to your preference.
Man, if Shadow Warrior 2 made the stuff they changed like that options you could fuck about with like that, literally no one would complain.
