@gameragodzilla I can talk with countrymen (and women) I disagree with on Brexit and have very high-minded and intricate discussions of the various political issues that surround the matter, because those people are educated enough on the issue and how it's affected us at home that they can make that kind of naunced and well-thought-out arguement.
I think a lot of the time the reason you see foreign nationals fall back onto the name-calling and other emotional appeals, is because they can't. Now, you can entirely legitimately have a foreigner who has educated themselves on that issue and can debate their position on it rigourously, but frankly, those people aren't the problem anyways, and these days, it's rare to see someone put in that kind of effort.
We so often hear: "It's not my job to educate you!" - it sure is, if you want me to adopt your position. If you don't care, well, we can just agree to disagree and that's fine too!
