@rw To me the appeal of the Kings Field and Dark Souls game was the feeling of exploring a large and unknown world and discovering the lore and story that is behind that setting, because that is the thing From does so well that elevates them from just mere metroidvania games with shit controls and does so handily.  I never really got the same vibe from Bloodborne.  Its world didn't make me particularly interested to explore it.  And for me that was quite notable because the kind of thing its set in is the kind of themes and setting that I am a very easy mark for.
