@pennyfortheguy The thing with indoctrination, this gets into heavy psych that even 1000 characters can't explain, but in basic very general terms, no one can make you believe something that at least SOME part of you doesn't want to believe outside of physical negative reinforcement therapy, which frankly, is also known as something else.  That something else is torture.  So unless you're torturing someone, you can only indoctrinate them if you manage to successfully appeal to the part of them that wants to believe what you're telling them.  And most people in America believe Trump or Hillary's screed because they believe their chosen candidate will win.  They don't care about the platform's values, just about how likely it is to win.
