I have to admit I'd never seen or heard of this kind of thing before. One of the outside cats brought his pregnant girlfriend home a few months ago. He set her up in the greenhouse, then stayed around, helping her raise the kids. They tag-teamed a neighbor's cat when it tried to attack one of the kittens.

In the process, the other outside cats became visitors that come to eat, whereas some of them had previously lived on the property.
