I'm particularly unhappy about Prop 22 passing. That's the one in which Uber and similar companies spent record amounts of money to give themselves a loophole from laws requiring that they treat their "independent contractors" as employees, since they exercise employer level control over the way work is done.

This is as repulsive as the one several years back in which Walmart spent heavily to prevent the state from implementing its own mandatory medical coverage for employees. (Up until ACA, many Walmart employees tried to get on the state's Medi-Cal program for coverage. At the time of that election, Walmart was one of the largest employers in the nation.)

Now, I'm getting pretty weary of election-related stuff, so I plan to take a break from the subject of politics.
