"The fact that Mozilla published a statement in support of Google in the US v Google antitrust case should confirm for any remaining skeptics that my complete lack of faith in Mozilla is on-point."

Well, they stand to lose well over 90% of their already falling income, so of course they're concerned. But more to the point, singling out Google for practices that Microsoft, Facebook, Apple, and other large corporations are also using is pretty clearly political. USDOJ should be quickly filing several more of these lawsuits.

As Cody mentioned on his (long) stream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fFMEiHUuMw , Facebook has been rather brazen about its anti-competitive practices, to the point that people believe they should have been sued years ago.

This isn't to say that Drew DeVault is completely wrong about Mozilla. I think they've made some horrible decisions along the way that pretty much ended any chance of freeing themselves from financial dependence on Google (even before Google became a competitor as well as benefactor). And the executive salaries are high enough that someone should be refunding excessive pay back to Moz.
