I remember when “3D camera” was a proprietary film-based technology, sold via a multi-level marketing system, which required one to send their film to a particular mail-order processor to make 3D prints. That was in the late 1980s or early 1990s, and it flopped hard.

I have not been watching camera technologies for some time, but #3D_cameras made a return (and apparently flopped again, but not so badly this time). I just stumbled across https://www.gadgetreview.com/best-3d-cameras because I searched for one thing while meaning to search for another.

(I’m the one that grumbles about “Did you mean to search for [something I didn’t search for] instead?”, but this time it could have helped.)
