Some of these would be good points if they were actual design goals for Fediverse software or communication protocols. They aren’t, of course.

One can tell they weren’t goals by looking at the outputs. For instance, there was a big deal made over adding some robots.txt rules to Mastodon instances, but not all crawler bots obey that. Yet people were led to believe their _public_ posts would be off-limits to search engines.
