Some of my brothers are going to team watch "Voyage into Space". I remember when a Los Angeles TV station would show it twice a day for five days (Monday through Friday) twice per year. Tuesday, someone at school would say "Giant Robot is on this week" and all other activities would cease.

Looking back, our parents were really tolerant. It couldn't have been easy to lose your family's only TV for a week for a cheaply made monster movie. But almost every family I knew watched it for a two or three year period. After that, it sort of disappeared.
