I suppose there's an exemption in there to prosecution for violating one's oath of office, too.

Someone should tell them that spy services are probably buried in false positives based on such widespread suspicionless data collection, and that they'd be better able to do their jobs if they had to obtain a real judge's permission (under normal non-FISA laws) to spy on a particular American and provide evidence that there was something worth delving into.

I know. I told them also. I mean someone they'll listen to, such as a high-ranking intelligence officer.
