@geniusmusing The HR type stuff I can't talk about at all. I have to refer them to HR in HQ. This is similar to a security clearance background investigation, except less intense ("public trust" instead of one of the security clasifications).

They ask some really bizarre questions. For my last one, they interviewed a neighbor I'd never met. They also asked my son's friend whether I was a good driver, whether I drank heavily, whether I used drugs, and whether I managed my finances well. They even went to hotels I had stayed at years back to see whether there were any employees still there who remembered my time staying there.
