@geniusmusing Reading https://nu.federati.net/notice/3262484 and other posts about Shadow's election apps reminds me of this "business opportunity" ad I saw (concealed as a job opening) a couple of years back:

They would send people to a training course, where they'd be given a basic app's source, and then be taught to customize and compile it, then learn how to contact local businesses to offer app-building services.
