Back in 1985 or 1986, I applied for part-time work at a Chuck E. Cheese’s location nearish (a few towns away, about a three hour walk) to my home at the time, because they were going to train the person to repair arcade games. They never called. That location later closed.
After I moved to my current area of #SoCal, a locally-owned arcade was hiring someone with a similar “we’ll train you to repair” promise. I applied for the job, but within a month or two, they were closed and gone.
And it was funny to see a sign in the arcade in Mall of the Americas in #PR. According to Google Translate, they were making the same pitch.
