@moonman From what I hear, those missiles are relatively unsophisticated, probably for just that reason (eliminate the possibility of an enemy gaining remote access).

Back in the USSR days, there was a Soviet fighter plane that the pilot flew to Japan. the West was shocked to find it still used tubes instead of transistors, until they figured out that tubes are more resistant to EMP, so the plane would still be flyable after a nuke went off.
