@moonman That's been an issue with Chrome for years. I'd say at least 7-8 years.

Chrome (and Chromium) used to cause RAM and swap exhaustion (forced reboot, fun!) within 8 hours with 3-4 JS heavy tabs, while Firefox could go about three weeks with 150 tabs before it would bloat up and slow things down (close FF, reopen and you're fine). This was a Dell desktop with about 4GiB of RAM.

I still can't use Chrome / Chromium + anything else on this laptop (6GiB of RAM) for similar reasons. If I open Chrome, I can't use anything else. (JS-free sites don't seem to cause this, but it is getting harder to find such sites.)
