I predict that some time in the next few years, we'll also find that the testing companies have been selling people's DNA results to other organizations, too. It's all entirely predictable and expected.

I say this even though DNA testing did reconnect a half-brother to my family.

Unless the testing org destroys both DNA and test results after sending a copy of the results to you, you can feel sure that the information will be abused* at some point.
