@moonman I spent one year of elementary school in the Midwest (after moving back from Germany, where I attended DoD schools), then came to SoCal. It’s sad to hear about your experience there.

My kids talk about how lucky they are to have escaped a SoCal exburb (with all the accessories: racist cops, nooses found at school, race riots on nearby campuses, meth houses, and a local economy that sends much of it’s working population up to 100 miles away to find decent jobs) to the Midwest.

Maybe the real promised land is Colorado.
