The loud sports tournament (or music competition; it was never clear which kind of group these families are part of) weekend is coming to a close. The loudest hallway-stomping, “outside voice” conversing families have left or are about to leave the hotel. They weren’t intentionally rude or anything, just unaware that their noisiness affected other people staying here.

IOW, I’m not complaining, but I’m glad it is over.
