For non Spanish speaking people: the main problem it's that in Spanish "to quit" has no meaning, so "quittear" sounds rude and it's not related with original meaning.

Also I appreciate the work from people at the quitter project/UI/plugin, but many people loose the knowledge of the network (!gnusocial) and believe the network it's Quitter.
