We find this way really powerfull because it empowers groups and communities to open autonomous - distributed and federated - socialization spaces on the Web. We are working in this direction using WordPress !wordpress  and GNU  social !gs !gnusocial  Our first tool in order to achieve this is WP-GNU social !wpgnusocial It connects WordPress and GNU social using the last one as a comment system for your blog. This was the first intention but the fact is that when you connect you blog with GNU social you are opening a full space of participation and conversation around your blog. It is really surprising how powerful this plugin have been proved improving the connectivity of our island ;-)

We would love to collaborate with other projects, maybe improving interoperability between GNU social and Hubzilla? How?
