I really like the !gnusocial 's federation concept, but there's some problems/"issues" about it, pretty troublesome.
An example.
A few moments ago, I saw @track41 replying to @steveland. @track41 follows @steveland (and viceversa). I went to @steveland TL to see what the replied notice was (because I didn't follow him).
Then, in @steveland TL, I saw a notice I wanted to reply. And, yes, a big feature of GNU social: you can't reply it right there :D. Because you're from another node. You want to reply it here? Make an account here (so different from centralized networks).
Well, you think: I will follow him and answer him in my TL.
Yo do it. You go to your TL. Well... If the message is from a few days ago, GOOD LUCK finding it. You can go nuts scrolling or using search feature.
But... Oh, wait: him even appears in your TL. Not even in «All known network». Errr... what? but... him and @track41 are following mutually, but FAQ says that... WHAT?
Well... this is awkward, at least.
