@mikegerwitz @hattiecat Why people are not more concerned about privacy issues in the UK is a tricky one. If the recent petition to repeal the # is anything to go by then there are a substantial number of people who oppose privacy violating legislation like this. At the parliamentary level though across all of the parties there is little to no opposition. In the manifestos of the 2015 elections only the Pirate Party even mentioned surveillance as being an issue.
